Taifun

Tomorrow I will experience my first taifun. Its name is Nabi (Butterfly), a nice name for a storm. I like storms. Well, as longs as it's not as strong as Katrina, it's ok. I feel really sorry for the people there. Sad story. I hope the people there will get aid from the state.
I wish I had gone to New Orleans before.

But I also have good news. Mrs. R., the wife of the vice-embassador, who is working together with me, gave me a free ticket for the Oktoberfest here in Seoul, in the Hilton Hotel. It will be this next Friday and Saturday. I got the ticket for Friday, when her husband will hold the beginning speach. A ticket would cost 80,000 won (70euro). Since I don't want to go by myself, I already found a victim to acompany me. I hope it's going to be a nice evening. I will go right after work. Food and drinks are for free, with Bavarian food and drinks. Jippihh! Although I have to say, that so far, I don't miss the food sooo much. Sometimes I drink a Weißbier... but only sometimes. It costs about 8,000 or 9,000 won (7-8euros). My mom said, I should rather drink it when I am back at home. She's right, but once in a while I just feel the urge.
