Oktoberfest
As already mentioned, I have tickets for the Oktoberfest in the Hilton Hotel. I read an article in the newspaper, which says, it's the biggest one in Korea... well, I don't think that's difficult. I am sure there are not very many Oktoberfeste in Korea. So yesterday I went to the Hilton to change the tickets to saturday, since there are more people from the chamber going. They decorated the entrance area of the Hilton really nicely. It felt like home... almost. White and blue ribbons. Really pretty.
This week, on Tuesday I went to a Korean TV show with T, Jenni and a friend of Jenni. It's called "Love Letter" and is presented by the singer of the Yoon Band. I am just trying to learn a song from that group. It's really difficult. Especially since I don't have much time to do so.
In the show, different singers perform and then talk a little bit. For me of course only the songs were interesting, since I didn't understand a word of what they were saying. Fortunately T was so kind to translate some of the things they said.
At the beginning of the show, a comdian was making jokes to entertain the audience in the studio (was not filmed). Then he asked, if there were any people from farther away. Of course Jenni felt the need to raise her hand. It was funny. Luckily I didn't have to say anything. Another boy in the studio, also a Kyopo, was from the US. I think that night I was the only western looking person in there. It's really difficult to get tickets for this show, since you can't buy them. You have to have connections. So we got the tickets from a friend of Jenni's mom. If you want to see some pictures, visit Jenni's blog: http://kimchiinkorea.blogspot.com/.
Well, concerning my camera, I will send it back home and my parents will send me another one. I hope soon. I wish I could make pictures tomorrow at the Oktoberfest...
I am just learning Korean billiard. It's really difficult. You only have four balls. Two white ones and two red ones. You have to try to hit the two red ones, not the other white one, with your white one in one shot. You have to calculate a lot, how to do it. But it's really fun, especially since I have a good teacher.
Cultural thing:
Why do Koreans always drive on the pedestrian zone with their motorcycles? I hate it. It's f*** dangerous.
