Some pics
Well, as I already told you last week, I went to the Oktoberfest. Fortunately some nice person lent us his camera, so finally I have some pictures.
- Here, some brave girls in a drinking contest...-
With one of them my roomies. I am proud of you!
Since the Fest was in the Hilton, a good band shouldn`t be missing... my mom would be really happy to see them live.
"Münchner Zwietracht". A real Oktoberfest band, actually the most famous one. I even talked to them, wow and got a
signature card. I told them, I haven`t ever seen them when I was at homeand now, here in Seoul I see them for the first time. Somehow ironic... - Let`s rock the house -
- Unfortunately no German beer -
The two best brands here in Korea are Cass
and OB. Both Korean brands and totally cheap.
A glass, like that one on the picture
costs about 2,500 won (1,5euro). If you
want to drink a Weißbier (Erdinger or Paulaner) here, you can't pay less than 8,000 won (about 7 euro). I really only drink that for very rare exceptions.
Well, if I come back home, I know, the first thing I get to drink from my parents is a Weißbier, like last time, when I
arrived from Spain.
As you can see on the picture, the waitresses were dressed in a really cute way, with a bavarian Dirndl.
- The boss of Lufthansa was dressed absolutetly typically, with Lederhosen.-
Another beverage, less Bavarian, more German, but still good... :-) ... just a joke.
Jägermeister!! They had a bar with free Jägermeister. Luckily I saw it later during the evening. Could have been bad.
- And not only the girls looked good that evening... :-)-

- As you can see, even my boss
liked it... :-) ... well, sorry. Empty -
And of course not only the drinks were good... Bavarian bands can not only play Bavarian music. Well, at the beginning, of course they did and I can say, you don't even have to dance to have fun... just watch the Korean and American couples dance to the music. Well, later I also of course had to go to the "dance floor". I miss dancing. I haven`t danced here in Seoul for so long.
I still haven`t had the chance to go dance Salsa. I miss it so much. Maybe I can go this weekend. I will see. Anyway, I need to go to a club again soon. I haven`t really been out for so long. Yes mom, you might not believe it, but it`s true! :-)
- Did we have fun?! -
I really enjoyed the evening. Especially the food. I found out, after already having eaten, that they had some Bavarian Schweinebraten. Well, even though I was really full, a real Bavarian cowgirl can't just walk by there and not try it... and everybody who knows me, knows that especially I can`t. But mom, it was by far not as good as yours, don`t worry.
OK, I have some good news. Today I found out, that I can participate in a Korean language course. It will start tomorrow. It's every Wednesday and Friday from 8.30 am to 10.00 am, which means, I come to work one hour late. The course is organized by the chamber and would usually cost about 500,000 won. I am glad I got the chance to go there for free. Thank you Mrs. R. and Mr. W. I am so looking forward to go there. I can`t wait.
Well, enough for today.
Good night
