Vacation

Hey guys,

this time I really havent't written for a long time. Sorry. Well, instead I distributed some e-mails. :-)
Today is my last day at work, which means next week I have vacation! Jipiih! After exactly 4 1/2 months, it has really become time. Looking back, I was a good girl, always on time, always until the end, sometimes even longer, so I think I earned my vacation.

Today at work was really cool. Already yesterday evening on my way to Incheon in the metro and today in the morning I had time to study for a small quiz about the new brand at the chamber DEinternational and now, at 14.00 o'clock, we had to take the quiz. It had 24 questions and was sometimes not even easy. I enjoyed it. Our boss made some jokes and the whole atmosphere was really relaxed. I can really consider myself lucky to work here. I am experiencing a lot about work life. There is a lot going on in the chamber around this time. We did brainstorming one time, to find a name for our new magazine, of which the 0-edition was launched and sent out to some companies, just a few weeks ago. So I helped create that one. Moreover now that new brand will slowly be introduced to all the chambers around the world. Korea is among the first ones and also among the most motivated ones, which is the reason why our boss wanted that quiz. All employees have to know about it. I really think we have a good boss, who is very motivated, a good boss, but very human and often pretty funny.
Well, I have also had my bad times with him, but mostly I am pretty happy with him. I think in general he does a good job.
Well, tonight, we will leave work earlier, since we will have our Christmas party at the Hilton, beginning at 6 o`clock. Right at the start the winner of the quiz will be announced, then we will eat and have a small lottery with some nice prices. There are no blanks, every draw is a win. And Katja already said that there will be some real nice prices, like really expensive good wines for example.

Oh, I really haven't written for a while.
I was at a EUCCK (European Chamber of Commerce in Korea) meeting last week and won a two-nights stay at Sumerset Palace, which is a residence for people who stay for a longer period of time. I got the ticket for an executive bedroom, which means a good one. After I got the price, by coincidence I also met the sales manager of the residence, who is pretty young and she said, I should call her when I come there. She said the rooms are around 84 sqm big... huge, with a kitchen. So we could actually make a party there. I though about going there for Christmas, but somehow I want a be in a familiar area at that time. I guess we will go there in February.
Well, yeah, Christmas is soon. I already made a plan. We will cook, I thought about Gulasch and Knödel and will invite some of Jang-hee's friends. Afterwards I guess we will go out, as it is traditional for young Koreans. Well, of course some also go to church, but I don't know. Maybe I will skip that part this year, although somehow maybe it would be nice. Well, we will see. I don't think Jang-hee wants to go, right?
Anyway... just one and a half more hours left and we will go to the Hilton, which will be the official beginning of my vacation. Finally!!

Have you guys heard, over there in Europe, Germany or whereever about Mr. Hwang? The Korean guy who had cloned the first dog in August and who now cheated on the whole world by claiming having created cloned stem cells? Koreans are totally shocked. They call it a big infamy, which I guess is true. I feel sorry for them. They were so proud of him.

I am sure I forgot some things, but right now I really can't think of anything more.
Except... although I have a great time, especially when I am with Jang-hee and especially when I think of a lot of free time next week, ... I really miss every single one of you a lot and think of you every day! Take care of yourselves.

In case I don't find any time to write next week... I guess I will have better things to do... :-)
I wish you all a merry Christmas and the best wishes!!

... remember the hot days, full of smog...
... a picture of the cold days, with bright blue sky and dry fresh air with a freezing cold wind will follow...
