Sightseeing
I feel like, I should write again and let you know what I am up to these days.
Well, after having completed my first course, after just three weeks of studying, I have vaccation since last Saturday. Our exam on Saturday consisted of every group giving a presentation about some guys who have accomplished something in the field of logistics or supply chain management. Well, we finished our presentations and then went to drink coffee with our professor. Then the journey started...
Right afterwards I had to run home, pack my stuff, get Galina and head off for Seoul. There, after some detour we finally found our driver. It took us about two hours and we finally reached our goal at nine in the evening. Chunchon, small city close to Seoul, which is famous for its lakes.
There we went out with two friends and stayed over night. The next day we looked around the area, went on a boat trip and to the movie theatre to watch "Bourne Ultimatum".
In the evening we were glad to get in our bus to head back home. After only three hours sleep the night before I was really glad to see my bed.
But Galina is eager to see all of Seoul... so no time to relax. On Monday we went to Seoul, to Dongdaemun to look around the shops there. Unfortunately the sizes there are not very foreigner friendly, especially concerning shoes.
Quite frustrated we were glad to be invited by a nice class mate to a great Italian restaurant, in the best area of Seoul for going out... HONGDAE! My favorite area. :-)
Afterwards I had the great pleasure to also taste some German beer again... Weißbier, which costs 8,000 won, about 6 Euro. But since our class mate is 46 and already earns a lot at UPS, he invited us. Nice guy! Thank you Mr. Lee.
On Tuesday I was then invited to Janghee's parents' house to celebrate Chusok (Korean holiday) with them. It was very nice to see them again. They helped me sooo much. I don't know how to thank them. And they told me I should visit them anytime. Well, before I should improve my Korean, so I can talk to them. :-)
Well, finally, today I went to Seoul again with Galina. There we met another friend, who showed us around in Seoul. We saw soo much, incredible. In the evening we had some nice traditional Korean dinner and talked about Korean life styles.
Afterwards, we ended the day with a great view over Seoul from the 63
building, which was once the highest building in Seoul (not anymore, but still famous). As you can see, the view over Seoul is great. I love this city. It's so full of life... just like me. :-) (of course I will never forget you Madrid!)
Now I am back at home. So far it was a great week.
I wonder what the rest of the week will bring for Galina and me.
